Unity – Griffith Gear Solid: Student’s Creed

In collaboration with the genius programmer, Jack Rand, we created this game in the program Unity. Since it is a stealth game, we referenced both Metal Gear Solid and Assasin’s Creed in the title. I created most models in the game and textured them all in 3DS Max. Jack provided the code and even implemented his own ‘cover’ system, where the player would take cover behind various objects and obstacles.

The aim of the game is to hand in the assignment that you have neglected. The main character has to firstly find his hard drive, which spawns randomly, print off the assignment, which is a problem in itself as almost none of the printers work (as in real life), and then finally reach the lecturer’s office. With a bonus objective of gaining access to the university buildings by finding a keycard, it is one long game to beat, all the while dodging security guards and cameras.

Personally, I am extremely proud of this game that the two of us made. It took us about seven weeks to put together. This is a good example of what I want to be doing – creating the environment with models and textures, while someone more inclined to like programming does all the connecting.

Below is a collection of models with textures that I created and used in the game.
